The D-Link DES-3251GL is a 1000BASE-LX Gigabit Ethernet fiber port module designed specifically for the DES-3225G and DES-3225GF switches. It has a single SC type port for creating a Gigabit backbone link from the switch to another backbone switch or a server. This module provides the user with a high-speed link for their critical network paths without the need to purchase a separate Gigabit switch.
