The NS-DV990 system comes with a pearly white main unit and separate LCD aluminum display, together with flat panel speakers and universal playback, to deliver a fully-fledged cinematic experience in the home. The combination of the NS-DV990's stylish design, compact size and versatility makes it the ideal companion to Pioneer's Pure Vision plasma television range and the perfect solution for stylish modern living rooms. The system features an entirely new acoustic design concept, NXT SurfaceSound, based on Distributed Mode Loudspeaker technology. It produces uniquely even sound coverage throughout the room. The Pioneer NS-DV990 is capable of handling any kind of disc format from DVD-Audio, SACD, SACD Multi-channel, CD-R, CD-RW and Video CD, to DVD-Video, DVD-R and DVD-RW. In addition, the system is also compatible with the latest audio compression formats to playback pre-recorded MP3 files or view JPEG photos from CD on an attached plasma screen or television. The Pioneer NS-DV990's pearl white color and omni directional cosmetic design is designed for modern living. The separate LCD display with three steps dimmer and aluminum, gloss finish has a flexible set-up that enables users to place the display in a convenient position for easy viewing and system control. The NS-DV990 home cinema system offers an astoundingly realistic home cinema experience that includes five surround modes.
