The WL-100 802.11b PCMCIA adapter allows 11 megabit per second (Mbps) data transmission over the air, with a range of around 30 meters in an indoor environment, and reaching 120 meters in open space. The WL-100 is equipped with one external mono-pole antenna to secure omni-directional coverage, while another internal diversity antenna is used to keep high receiving performance in adverse environments. The WL-100 can be installed and configured fairly easily without a broad network concept. The installation is done using an user-friendly program that is compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME and 2000. With the bundled mobile manager program, you can easily roam between your home, office, school, or any place with a public wireless network, and let the program's profiles manage all the complicated settings.
