This card operates in both the unlicensed 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, providing high-speed wireless networking with data rates up to 54 Mbps. The Avaya Platinum Client Card delivers improved enterprise-class security for your application needs. The card supports many new levels of authentication and data encryption security such as new WEP key lengths and support for IEEE 802.1x security. For telecommuters and road warriors, the Avaya Platinum Client Card is compatible with popular VPN Clients such as Avaya's VPNremote Client offering robust VPN security when away from the office. An easy-to-use installation and configuration utility allows users to connect quickly and simply. Users can set up and store up to 100 unique network profiles for their office, their home office, as well as frequently visited cafes or airport hot spots. Employees can also adjust their network preference settings to increase roaming performance or to roam automatically between 802.11a and 802.11b networks in the same campus without disruption.
