This is a 32/64 PCI network adapter from Compaq. It has a lot of new innovative features to offer, which will make your work inside the network faster and more reliable. It uses bus-mastering technology to maximize throughput and minimize CPU utilization. Enables PCI networking controllers to be replaced or added to a PCI Hot Plug supported server without having to take the system down, increasing system availability and non-stop serviceability. Permits the NIC to keep an active link if a switch or hub link fails by switching over to a backup NIC. Increases system availability and non-stop serviceability. Besides it operates with most network operating systems, including NetWare, Microsoft NT, and SCO UNIX.
