After the great success of the EP-4G4A+ and EP-4BEAR mainboards, EPoX has put in even more effort on the Intel platform to focus on the next generation chipsets - 845PE and i845GE. Given that Intel has introduced new Hyper-Threading capability into forthcoming Pentium 4`s, the new mainboards will offer even greater stability within voltage regulation. FMB2 will make the system stable even more. Hyper-Threading is Intel`s new microprocessor technology to implement SMT (Simultaneous Multi Threading). It makes a single processor look like two processors to the operating system and can considerably accelerate the performance of a multi-threaded application. Alongside the CPU, Intel has also released the i845PE and i845GE platform to meet accompany such. EP-4PEA+ and EP-4GEA+ are the mainboards that EPoX has made based upon these chipsets. EPoX releases the EP-4GEA+ with performance at the fore to meet the needs of the high-end market for the Intel Pentium 4. Based on the traditional features of an EPoX board, there are also a lot of good functions on the EP-4GEA+ like the power user oriented BIOS with extended overclocking features such as CPU Vcore, DDR SDRAM voltage adjustment, AGP voltage adjustment, CPU clock and AGP clock adjustment and so on. As well as all of the features there is also the newest feature to catch the user's eye, "Magic Light"; this is truly the most fantastic feature that is built into the EP-4GEA+. It was made by mounting two blue LED lights into the northbridge cooling fan.
