The Fujifilm SM-R2 is a connectivity solution for the download of images from SmartMedia cards to the latest PCs and the new generation of Macs. Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the future for multi-platform data transfer, and the new SM-R2 USB SmartMedia Card Reader offers the ideal solution for quick and easy downloads of digital images. Barely larger than a pack of playing cards and weighing just 130g, the SM-R2 is simple to connect and use. SmartMedia cards are inserted through the front of the SM-R2 so it can be placed beside a PC, put on an office shelf, or stacked with other input devices. The power of USB connection enables images to be downloaded more than 40 times faster than image transfer via serial cable. This is a major benefit for consumers, designers and business users, particularly with the arrival of high-resolution Super CCD cameras such as the FinePix 4700 Zoom, with larger file sizes. The SM-R2 gives you much more than simply the ability to download your images. Because it is read/write compatible you can crop, change or manipulate your images on your PC and return them to your SmartMedia card for remote printing (direct from the Fujifilm NX-70 for example), transfer to another PC or filing if required. The reader accepts all of the postage stamp size SmartMedia cards from 2MB to 64MB, and is forward compatible with the even larger memory cards of the future, up to 128MB.Product Description | FUJIFILM SM R2 - card reader - USB | Product Type | Card reader USB | Supported Flash Memory | SmartMedia Card | Expansion Slots Total (Free) | 1 ( 1 ) x SmartMedia Card |
