Super DLTtape is an extension of the DLT platform, the industry's de-facto standard for tape backup and data protection. It is designed to meet the business critical demands of enterprise storage customers. The new SDLT platform extends the advantages of DLT technology by increasing capacity, performance, and reliability standards through technological advances in drive head and media design. With backward-read compatibility for DLT Type IV media, the new SDLT tape drive provides customers with an easy migration path to advanced technology for their data protection strategies.
