The DLT 40/80 GB Tape Drive is a backup and restore solution for mid to high-end Compaq ProLiant and AlphaServers. The DLT 40/80 GB Tape Drive is a 40 GB native DLT tape drive with a native transfer rate of 6 MB/sec. It utilizes on-drive LZL data compression that can double these features to 80 GB and 12 MB/sec, respectively. Additionally, the drive utilizes an LVD Wide Ultra SCSI interface for better performance and compatibility with today's SCSI devices. With more capacity, higher performance and comparable pricing to the DLT 35/70 GB, customers will transition quickly to the 40/80 GB DLT.
