The IBM DLT Tape Library provides an integrated, cost-effective, high-function, automated tape library solution for selected IBM Netfinity and PC server models. It also interfaces with Windows NT, NetWare and other popular platforms through industry-leading software vendors. It is based on proven DLT drive technology and industry-leading library automation, thus providing your mid-range or high-end servers with a large storage capacity - up to 980GB. It is easily upgradeable and includes a single DLT tape drive which can be upgraded to up to three DLT drives with the addition of the drive option, providing faster transfer of data through concurrent read-write operations. The system is really flexible - it contains support for a wide variety of backup/restore software. A barcode reader is included and can provide positive cartridge identification and inventory when coupled with supporting application software.
