The IBM 3607 is the SDLT tape autoloader that provides a cost-effective solution for xSeries customers looking for their first tape automation product. The SDLT tape drive compliments the IBM eServer xSeries servers. The 3607 Series Model 16X is a reliable 2U rack-mount tape autoloader. This automated tape backup device supports Ultra2 low-voltage differential (LVD) SCSI connections of up to 80 MB/s. It provides convenience and ease-of-use features, while supporting high-speed tape backup and up to 3.52 TB of data storage in compressed modes. It also has a Web Administration feature which enables remote diagnostics and autoloader operation. It also features a standard barcode reader, which enhances automated media management. A front access mail slot feature allows for quick insertion or extraction of cartridges without interrupting operation. The drive and power supply are in one removable FRU.
