The 1000Base SX Gigabit Module Connects to 1000Base-SX devices at full- or half-duplex.Extends network diameter from 260m to 550m depending on the type of fiber used. Through the switch's built-in management you can configure the device and monitor network health. There are several methods for managing this switch; you can use one method or any combination.Onboard management allows control over the device without using an SNMP application. The Web Device Manager provides a graphical interface while the Local Management is a menu-driven interface.SNMP management applications like Intel Device View, LANDesk Network Manager, or HP OpenView are tailored for Intel products and show a graphical representation of the device.
