Lenovo extends its line of outstanding hard drive options with the Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Hard Drives for selected models of Lenovo ThinkStation systems. ThinkStation SAS Hard Drives combine perpendicular recording, Giant MagnetoResistive (GMR) heads, partial response / maximum-likelihood read channel electronics, embedded servo technology, and a SAS interface to provide high-performance, high-capacity data storage for engineering workstations. The SAS Hard Drives feature S.M.A.R.T., which can warn of predictable impending hard drive failure.
