IBM Geographic Interface (geoInterface) provides a user-friendly desktop geographic information system (GIS) interface, which can be integrated with your enterprise applications. It offers the ability to visualize, analyze, and update GIS data. Taking advantage of IBM's VisualAge object-oriented programming environment, geoInterface delivers graphical GIS functions in client/server and detached modes. geoInterface enables a full range of GIS applications, including workflow management and customer service. It can be used for routing, dispatching, distribution, or demographic analysis for any industry: commercial, transportation and travel, utilities, government and environmental. The Developer Edition contains all of the parts and functions required to develop, customize, maintain, and execute new and existing applications: its VisualAge for Smalltalk parts can be integrated with a customer-developed VisualAge application. Developer Edition and standard GUI parts can be selected from a palette and connected using a visual builder paradigm. Its C language API can be integrated with customer-developed C or C++ applications to load, view, and analyze GIS data.
