The Maxtor Shared Storage Drive lets you easily centralize, organize and share family photos, music and data on a home or small office network. Installation is simple with automatic network configuration and the Maxtor Quick Start CD which sets up the Shared Storage Drive to look like a local drive on the configured PC as well as automatically placing an icon on the desktop for easy access to public and private network folders with a single click. Organizing documents on the drive is also a breeze. Users drag their files into their special PC desktop icon where the Maxtor exclusive Drag and Sort feature automatically copies the files, sorts them based on file type and places them into specific music, photo, video or data folders on the Shared Storage Drive An easy to use web browser interface makes assigning full access (public) or limited access (private) levels to your files on the Shared Storage Drive simple.
