iGrafx Process Central is a central process repository that provides a team-based, collaborative environment for enterprise process management. By employing iGrafx Process Central, your organization is better able to manage change, share work, and sustain process improvement projects. When working as a team, sharing work and managing change is essential. For example, imagine multiple departments with a similar billing process. With iGrafx Process Central, all departments can share components of the same billing model. If a change is made to a shared component, all processes linked to it are instantly updated. Only iGrafx Process Central offers this level of process change management. When components are linked and shared, you can identify and assess the impact of changes. Before changing Process X, you need to know if Process Y is affected by your modification. As your processes evolve, the ability to identify all entities that might be affected ensures a more accurate assessment of cost, value, and outcome. During the evolution of your processes, many versions are created. Normally, tracking and maintaining revisions is difficult or impossible to do. iGrafx Process Central automates this task. Previous versions are stored and managed for you, allowing you to retrieve any revision requested. In the repository, these models are managed as different versions of the same process. As multiple versions of processes are created, you need an audit trail detailing when, why, and by whom changes were made. iGrafx Process Central tracks these attributes and prompts you appropriately for the default or custom attributes associated with your processes. Some of these processes are confidential and should be accessible only to certain users; or some associates need to view, but not edit your processes. iGrafx Process Central provides a security system to manage users' rights to view and edit processes. Process knowledge encompasses many types of files - which is why iGrafx Process Central stores Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets, programs, or anything else you need to manage. This facilitates the management of process knowledge and spreads the power and usefulness of iGrafx Process Central across the enterprise. Further accessibility is available by using the freely deployed iGrafx Process Viewer, which provides read-only and query access to iGrafx Process Central repositories. An additional option is to put your process knowledge on the Web.
