The powerful MMS230 Multimedia Speaker System from Philips takes PC multimedia audio to a new level. Patented Philips Incredible Surround and Dynamic Bass Boost features, generate lifelike, 3D audio sound and rich bass from two compact speakers. The MMS230's compact and aesthetic design blends perfectly with other computer peripherals, and magnetic shielding specific construction eliminates interference with monitor picture quality. The Philips MMS230 is ideally suited for use with PC computers, portable CD and cassette players, and with other audio and video equipment. Philips' extensive experience in the research and development of CD, amplifier, audio and video technologies can be found in the MMS230's ability to deliver superb audio reproduction and exceptional sound clarity. Active 2x5-watt (RMS) speakers produce an astounding 120-watt of output (PMPO). For real powerful bass, this system can be attached with a subwoofer. All Philips Speakers, including the MMS230, are magnetically shielded to eliminate interference with other computer peripherals, and prevent damage to floppy disks and credit cards. Magnetic shielding eliminates unwanted distortion to TVs and computer monitors, ensuring uninterrupted picture quality. The Philips patented Incredible Surround feature creates a full, realistic 3D sound that appears to come from all corners. DBB produces deep, rich and powerful bass at all volumes and for all types of audio. With more and more peripherals fighting for space on desktops, the MMS230's compact speaker size takes up little room while blending nicely with other peripherals. Compact in size, the MMS230's speakers do not compromise sound quality or aesthetics. Function controls include a rotary volume control on side, push button on/off, Incredible surround, and DBB features.
