The DV200 from Pinnacle Systems is an all-digital production system for your PC. It is a PCI board with a bus mastering interface that gives you a fast IEEE-1394 (FireWire!) connection between your DV camera and your PC. With DV200, the entire editing process, from input to output, is completely digital. For the utmost in quality and performance the DV200 uses DV CODEC technology from Sony, the company that helped set the standard for DV. And all these high-end features are included at a price that's truly affordable. For powerful, efficient scanning, capturing, and editing, DV200 comes with DVTools software. Its Scan Tape feature "watches" your DV tape for you, and automatically detects all the scene changes by time/date stamps, including in-and-out points. This creates a database of video scenes, saving them to a scan gallery without the need for capturing these scenes first. Then, you can organize these scenes by simply dragging and dropping them into a Capture Gallery.
