The TigerStack 1000 SMC8724M is a 24-port 10/100/1000BASE-T managed switch including 4 Gigabit combo ports (SFP/RJ-45), an optional 10G uplink and built-in stacking. This tri-speed gigabit backbone switch is designed to handle heavy traffic workgroups or power users, capable of reaching up to 108Gbps with a non-blocking switching architecture. It provides cost-effective, Gigabit Ethernet switching for bandwidth-intensive networks that require advanced switching features: Quality of Service with eight levels of priority, weighted fair queuing and L2/3/4 IP precedence ensures smooth transmission of mission critical data; VLANs based on frame tags or ports, plus support for automatic GVRP LAN registration and spanning tree per VLAN provide maximum security and bandwidth efficiency; comprehensive security features include RADIUS, IEEE802.1x, SSH, SSL, TACACS+, and ACL.
