Although only slightly bigger than a cigarette packet, Siemens' Gigaset USB Adapter 11 will replace yards of cabling. Connected to your PC's or notebook's USB port, it sets up the connection to your router and so to your DSL access or to other PCs in your network. You can also set up an ad-hoc network without the router with other suitably equipped notebooks or desktops. The range is up to 30 meters indoors and up to 300 meters with a line-of-site connection. The adapter is also powered by the shortest route, namely via your PC's USB port.
