Time: LAN! from Tobit Software is the ideal atomic time module for your network. Once installed on your server, Time: LAN! constantly provides all clocks in your network with the official time, fully automatically. Regardless of whether you use Novell NetWare, Microsoft Windows NT/2000, or even Linux, Time: LAN! makes sure that all servers and workstations in your network tick in unison at all times. Furthermore, Time: LAN! relieves you of the burdensome task of changing the clock from summer time to standard time and eliminates the need to adjust the time in the case of discrepancies from one clock to another. Time: LAN! is a coupled product consisting of a hardware module and the corresponding software. Connected to the server, the Time: LAN! hardware module first receives the official time signal transmitted by Deutsche Telekom in Mainflingen (Frankfurt am Main). This signal is transmitted to the server, in other words to the Time: LAN! software, via the serial interface. The software evaluates the received signal and uses it to synchronize your server's real time clock with the official time.
