The USD II is a high-speed, high-performance SD memory card equipped with a built-in USB+ function, making it compatible with both SD memory card slots as well as USB ports. This "combo function" eliminates the need of card readers and other accessories, which may be required when transferring data from one medium to another. A four-pin USB interface was added to the opposite end of the nine-pin SD memory card interface, resulting in a single memory card with two means of connectivity to consumer electronics with a SD memory card slot or USB port. The USD II is virtually waterproof, shockproof, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)-proof.
