Massive capacity has been achieved through the enhancement of the head, the media and the record processing technology allowing up to 60GB per disk, maximum 120GB per drive (2 disks) high capacity. The enhancement of spindle motor driving technology and the power reduction of controller circuit enable to minimize by 1.6 watt at read operation. It is about 0.4 watt or less power consumption compare with the 4,200rpm drives. The enhancement of spindle motor driving technology and the stiffness of mechanism have achieved to reduce the acoustic noise of 2.3 Bels at idle operation. The enhancement of head holding structure to read and write the data of the media enable in high shock tolerance.
