By using a digital zoom, the camera provides the versatility of 2.5x magnification (up to 5x in SQ2 mode) yet avoids the increase in weight and price an optical zoom would entail. While maintaining the essence of easy and enjoyable digital photography - where the camera automatically takes care of parameters such as focus and exposure levels - this model introduces new features, such as sepia and black and white modes. By shooting in monochrome, the photographer can give photos an artistic flair or shroud them in an enhanced atmosphere of romance and mystery.
