The EZ Connect Turbo 2.4GHz 11/22 Mbps Auto-Sensing Wireless Bridge (SMC2482W) is an IEEE 802.11b standards-based Wireless Bridge, which supports high data rate up to 22 Mbps. Designed to connect two or more separated Local Area Networks (usually located in different buildings), the SMC Wireless Bridge provides coverage at up to 20 miles (with the use of optional SMC high gain antennas) and is the easiest alternative to a traditional wired network. The additional, Packet Binary Convolutional Coding (PBCC), modulation technology supports a high data rate of up to 22 Mbps with automatic fallback to 11, 5.5, 2, 1 Mbps. This 11/22 Mbps Auto-Sensing Wireless Access Point operates in the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum and supports up to 253 simultaneous wireless network connections. To ensure secure network transmission, the EZ Connect Turbo Wireless Bridge also supports 64/128/256-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption and Mac Address Filtering. The EZ Connect Turbo Wireless Bridge is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.11b standard and is 100% interoperable with all 802.11b-based wireless products.
